Out of The Box Thinking For After Sales Services

October 13th, 2008 by Pankaj Sharma

As every big challenge provides a big opportunity, there is a two-pronged approach for improving the after sales services:

  •   The service bugbear can be overcome through a Service Van (SV). This SV will have all the essential testing equipment installed with suitable power supply and loaded with all the spares. After the careful diagnosis done by the service engineer, he can call this SV to make the dysfunctional machine functional within a few hours. At the same time, this SV can communicate with all the major service centers and warehouses for facilitating easy replenishment and repairs. Not only these SVs can cure the customer machines they can be used for warehousing machines which get dysfunctional during transportation from mother manufacturing units to warehouses. As a result this will save time, money, manpower; also it will make a huge impact in building a relation with the customer for years.
  •   By establishing a service centre in the vicinity of the main residential locality. As of know companies have established their service centers in Tier-1 Cities. But they need to understand Tier-2, Tier-3 Cities and they can’t be overlooked as huge population of people is living there as the country will progress and the buying potential of these cities will also be paced up.
